When Anissa Helou was sitting at a dinner party in London, she realized the paucity of Lebanese cookbooks.

From 1975 to 1990, due to the country’s civil war, the entire generation of Lebanese people had been uprooted and had also lost access to the food of their homeland.

Her ninth cookbook, “Feast: Food of the Islamic World,”  published by Ecco at the end of May talks about the food of the Islamic world.
