BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BRICS CCI) in partnership with the Russian Embassy in New Delhi hosted a cross-cultural event, where they felicitated and invited Ananya Kamboj at the Embassy of Russian Federation to read some chapters of her book, “My Journey from Mohali to St. Petersburg”.
The event took place on September 6, 2018 at the Russian Embassy in New Delhi.
Ananya Kamboj who launched her book, an anthology of 21 stories ‘My Journey from Mohali to St. Petersburg’ about her experiences was also honoured as the Goodwill Ambassador of BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
During the event, Ananya read out a chapter from her book with a message – “It is not just about scoring the goal, but it is about taking everyone together in our success”. A young Indian girl, very mature in her sayings, shared her experiences about a trip to Russia on the threshold of the 2018 FIFA Championship.
The Russian Ambassador H.E. Nikolay Kudashev expressed hope that the warmth of personal stories by football fans and all those who visited Russia this year will last long even after the final referee’s whistle sounds.

The event was chaired by the Honourable Ambassador Nikolay Kudashev, Dr. Anoop Mittal. Chairman of BRICS CCI, Ashok Singh, Vice Chairman of BRICS , DrBBLMadhukar, Director General, BRICS CCI and also close to hundred children from five different schools of Delhi.
Russian Ambassador Nikolay Kudashev, BRICS CCI Vice-Chairman Ashok Singh, BRICS CCI Director General Dr BBL Madhukar and Deputy Director Ankita Sachdev, Kunal Kishore, Deputy Director, BRICS CCI, Vikas Tripathi, Finance Director, BRICS were among those present on the occasion.
Ananya, who hails fron Chandigarh, was presented with a BRICS Jersey and certificate.
Mr. Ashok Singh said, “it was a great pleasure to have Ananya with us. She has got an international publication for her book. She will inspire a lot of youngsters and credited her family who encouraged her to write a book to inspire others.”
‘ I firmly believe that if you take care of the youth, the future is secured.” said Kunal Kishore, Deputy Director, BRICS CCI. The event ended with the vote of thanks by the Director General of BRICS CCI, Dr. BBL Madhukar.
