Buddhism is a path of practice and spiritual development which empowers the person with insights , deep insights to see the reality.  Meditation and similar Buddhism practices teach spiritual qualities of awareness, kindness, and wisdom. The experience developed within the Buddhist tradition shows a path which ultimately culminates in Enlightenment or Buddhahood.

When Buddha received enlightenment, he envisioned a human race which was similar to a bed of lotus flowers.  As it is the law of the nature that lotus stay enmired in the mud, others slowly emerging from it, and some lucky ones blooming and turning into a beautiful lotus flower. In other words, all the living entities have potential to bloom, to prosper,  and some need just a little help to unfold their potential. So the Buddha decided to teach, and all of the teachings of Buddhism may be seen as attempts to fulfill this vision — to help people grow towards Enlightenment.

Buddhism sees life as a process of constant change, It means that everyone has that supreme power to change for the better. Mind! Buddhism sees the mind as the stepping stone to enlightenment and Buddhism has developed many methods for working on the mind. Most importantly, Buddhists practise meditation, to achieve more positive states of mind that are characterised by calm, concentration, awareness, and emotions such as friendliness. Using the awareness developed in meditation it is possible to have a fuller life.
